Meet Craig, tastylive's Newest Rising Star!

    Aug 31, 2015

This segment features an interview with one of our rising stars who details the road he has taken to transform himself into a successful trader following our philosophy. You can learn from his experience. Tom Sosnoff and Tony Battista sat down with Craig F. to discuss his trading journey.

Craig F.is originally from Virginia and now lives in Dallas. He earned an undergraduate degree in business administration and later added an MBA. He worked ten years for a non profit doing rewarding work in the third world.

He eventually left working for the non profit and went to work in the real estate world in Denver. The collapse of the real estate market (which precipitated the collapse in stocks in 2008-2009) left him looking for something else. He was drawn to the markets after hearing pitches from some trading rooms and at first made a lot of money buying options but then gave it back. He decided he needed to do something differently and if buying premium didn't work then perhaps selling premium would work.

He had already found tastylive but now began consuming the content voraciously. He started last December selling straddles in the SPY every Monday, acting very mechanically. Even after last week's market plunge and snapback he is still up around 45% year to date (YTD). He also has made money selling calls on rallies and selling puts on breaks and is still up about 13% YTD even after last week.

Watch this segment of "Rising Star" with Tom Sosnoff and Tony Battista to see what tastylive tools Craig F. used to trade successfully, what important lessons he learned from last week’s extreme volatility and to learn from his trading journey.
