The ladies take a look at their positions in DIA, FXE, MCD, SLV and XLU. After doing some reorganizing of the account, they decide to put on a Poor Man’s Covered Put in SPY. To do this, they sell an out of the money put with 60% probability of ending up out of the money. Next, they buy an in the money put. This is a short term, bearish position.
