New tariffs levied against China could benefit American manufacturers of solar cells, but there are drawbacks as well.
Some companies, like First Solar (FSLR), are poised to benefit from the new tariffs, according to a The Wall Street Journal report. First Solar could reap nearly $710 million in benefits from federal incentives and subsidies during 2024, and that figure could balloon to as much as $10 billion over the next decade, the newspaper said.
But the same tariffs could be disruptive for companies that don’t produce solar cells and, instead, import them from abroad. One example of a manufacturer in that position is Sunrun (RUN). Read the whole story.
Midsommarfest just wrapped up its 58th year in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. It’s one of the oldest street festivals in Chicago, with five stages for music, DJs, dancers and other performers.
